Curriculum Overview
MONTESSORI KINDERGARTEN
At St. Joseph Academy, we embrace the Montessori philosophy, where children learn through meaningful hands-on exploration. Each student is guided at their own pace, discovering how to think, solve problems, and engage with the world around them. Our classroom is a thoughtfully prepared environment that sparks curiosity, builds independence, and honours the unique dignity of every child.
Rooted in our Catholic faith, we cultivate a culture of peace, respect, and responsibility. Students grow not only in knowledge and academic foundations, but also in character: learning how to care for others, for creation, and for themselves. Montessori education empowers children to become confident, joyful learners who are ready to contribute their God-given gifts to the world.

CLASSICAL EDUCATION GRADES 1-8
We embrace the classical Christian model of education, built on the pursuit of wisdom and virtue through the liberal arts and the Great Books of Western tradition.
Students engage deeply with grammar, logic, and rhetoric, learning not just what to think, but how to think, and how to express themselves with clarity and conviction.
Latin and the study of enduring texts provide structure and continuity, equipping young scholars to read history, theology, and philosophy with insight. At the heart of this approach lies our Catholic faith: we form learners who not only excel academically but also live thoughtfully, believe deeply, and act justly.
Classical education invites students on a journey from knowledge to wisdom and from competence to character, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the Church, culture, and community.
